David has been working in the fitness industry for more than
30 years and has experience in corporate fitness, cardiac rehabilitation,
older adult fitness, fitness center management and personal training.
He managed an award winning retirement community fitness center
in New Jersey in 2001and was an adjunct faculty member at the University
of Dayton in 2006 and 2007.
David has 25 years of experience as a personal trainer and has
trained individuals and small groups between the ages of 15 and
90. His clients have included very fit recreational athletes and
people with medical concerns such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis,
back pain, and a history of falls. He was certified by the California
State University at Fullerton in 2005 as a Balance and Mobility
Specialist and has designed fall prevention programs for private
clients and retirement community residents. David has extensive
experience with TRX Suspension Training and has completed the TRX
Suspension Training and Group Suspension Training courses. He incorporates
the TRX in his clients’ routines and his own workout routines.
David is a strong proponent of functional training – performing
exercises that closely mimic everyday movements and strengthen
the muscles that support the pelvis and spine. This form of training
has been shown to improve posture and balance, decrease one’s
risk of experiencing back pain, and enhance athletic performance.
David has designed sport-specific programs for golfers, tennis
players and baseball and softball players.
David enjoys biking, hiking, strength training, and running.
